Aperol Spritz is a simple drink perfect for summer time: a mix of Aperol (an Italian aperitif), sparkling white wine (prosecco), a splash of soda and ice. People love its combination of orange color, touch of bitterness, ice and bubbles. Besides being highly refreshing, it is also very easy to drink (maybe even too easy?). Its popularity is still on the rise, despite having a long history as a drink since World War One.

  • 2 parts Aperol
  • 3 parts good prosecco, chilled
  • a splash of soda
  • 1 slice of orange
  • ice cubes

  1. Place 5-6 ice cubes in a wine glass until nearly full.
  2. Pour the Aperol.
  3. Pour the prosecco.
  4. Pour soda.
  5. Stir to combine.
  6. Serve with a slice of orange.

  • If you want to make the Spritz less better, use less Aperol and more Prosecco.
  • If you want to reduce the alcohol content, use more soda and less Aperol & Prosecco.
  • Best to serve the Aperol Spritz with Mediterranean appetizers (e.g. olives, cheese with bread).
